Students from Chavez High School, Eastwood Academy and Westbury High School participated in the University of Houston Clear-Lake (UHCL) open house on Saturday, February 4th, 2017.
The high school students attended sessions regarding admissions and financial aid. “Financial challenges should not stop you from completing your education, so we offer services and opportunities to learn about scholarships, help you complete your FAFSA application and more,” explained a UHCL representative.
Participant students also enjoyed a 2.25 mile outdoor and indoor tour of the campus, located on a 524-acre wildlife and nature preserve, and got firsthand glimpse of the Hawk’s Landing (housing).
While exploring the university, students met faculty and college scholars from the College of Business, College of Education, College of Human Sciences and Humanities, and the College of Science and Engineering.
The next stop for the Migrant Spring College Tours is on February 25th to Stephen F. Austin State University at Nacogdoches, TX.
