Revere Middle School and the Newcomer Division hosted their first Newcomer Parent Connection Session at the campus!
Principal Christian DeLaRiva opened the session by welcoming and motivating parents in becoming active members of the school community.
Later, Revere staff members addresses the topics of Attendance, Credits and Graduation, Parent Engagement, Safety and Security and Testing, while Spanish, Arabic, and Swahili interpreters assisted families.
Attendees also had the opportunity to see presentations from AMAANAH and PAIR, partner organizations, and their programming during and after-school, along with other support services offered.
Attorney Mariame Aana, guest speaker from St. Francis Cabrini Center, addressed subjects of immigration and the rights of Newcomers in the US.
Parents were very engaged throughout the session and appreciated all the information.
